Welcome Weekend

We are so looking forward to being a part of your Spartan experience here at MBU. Your health and safety are our top priorities. This year’s move-in process has been modified to adhere to physical distancing recommendations and protect the health of the MBU community. Please join us in wearing your mask at all times, unless outdoors, when physical distancing is possible. Our University has taken great precautions with our students in mind to make this transition a healthy, exciting, and growing time in their lives.

Welcome Weekend is a three-day event filled with fun, food and adventure – and a great way to be immersed into the culture of MBU. MBU values parent and family involvement during this exciting transition. Unload your stuff, say your goodbyes and get ready to become a Spartan! Welcome Weekend will commence August 14-16, with students receiving resources to prepare for classes and campus life – an incredible MBU experience!

While limited programming for families will occur on Friday, August 14th, we kindly ask family members leave campus by 7pm. Once students are moved in, each residence hall will be accessible only to students assigned to their hall to provide protection to the community – no guests or visitors will be allowed. We recognize that move-in can be an emotional part of the transition for students and families. To effectively adhere to physical distancing practices given by the St. Louis County orders,  and protect the campus community, we ask families to limit the number of people included in the move-in process to two additional family members.  Thank you for your help as we are all in this together. Welcome home, Spartans!

Throughout Welcome Weekend you’ll learn what it means to be a student at MBU – and have a blast doing it! You’ll have fun, while at the same time learning the ins and outs of life on campus. Welcome Weekend will help you start your life at MBU with a running leap.
