For more than 100 years, Fontbonne University has been a flagship higher education institution in the St. Louis region. Fontbonne recently announced its closure following the summer 2025 term.

MBU is honored to be a teach-out partner for Fontbonne students. We are committed to making your transition as seamless as possible. We have walked this path with many students, and our transfer-friendly process will ensure that you earn the degree you began with Fontbonne.

We want to support Fontbonne students during this transition by offering:

  • A scholarship match program that mirrors the out-of-pocket tuition and fees you were paying at Fontbonne. Our goal is to alleviate any financial burden that may arise for Fontbonne transferring into MBU.
  • A transfer-friendly commitment ensuring that we maximize the transfer of as many of your past credits as possible. We want to honor the work you’ve already completed towards your degree.
  • A commitment to do everything in our power to help you graduate on the same schedule you were on at Fontbonne. Your academic success and ability to reach your career goals is our priority.

Join us for a lunch and learn event on April 23 at noon. We are committed to making your transition as seamless as possible. Visit with advisors. Meet with faculty. Enjoy lunch from Mission Taco Joint (It Is Taco Tuesday after all). We’re here to make your transition as easy as possible.
