Nursing Recruiter - Missouri Baptist University

I. Basic Function

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Nursing Recruiter has the primary responsibility of implementing a comprehensive student recruitment program to achieve enrollment goals of qualified nursing students for each semester.

II. Responsibilities

Within the limits of University policies, procedures, and programs, this employee is responsible for accomplishing the following duties:

  • Provide training, guidance, and leadership to all nursing recruitment.
  • Generate inquiries and applicants toward an established goal based on a comprehensive recruitment strategy for nursing students.
  • Assist with admissions tours, attend college fairs, hospitals, and visit community colleges to target prospective nursing students.
  • Participate in all on-campus recruiting events and activities, along with University sponsored off-campus recruiting events.
  • Utilize electronic communication, HubSpot, for proactive and ongoing follow-up with and ongoing communication with nursing prospective students.
  • Maintain detailed records in the University’s CRM of contact attempts, correspondence, and ongoing communication with nursing prospective students.
  • Advise prospective nursing students about educational opportunities, admission standards, transfer of credit, financial assistance, and University policies and requirements specific to nursing programs.
  • Conduct preliminary transcript evaluations specifically for nursing prospective students.
  • Register prospective nursing students for their first two terms at Missouri Baptist University, and advise them on degree requirements specific to nursing programs.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to a team approach of meeting enrollment goals for nursing students.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary and assigned by the Director of Undergraduate Admissions.

III. Relationships

  • Reports directly to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, ensuring precise understanding and execution of assigned duties, delegated responsibilities, and professional interactions.
  • Cultivates open and collaborative relationships with various University offices and personnel, with a focus on nursing program stakeholders such as Nursing Faculty, Records, and Financial Services.

IV. Performance Measurement Criteria

  • The recruiter’s effectiveness on the overall recruitment of nursing students, including reaching short and long-term enrollment goals.
  • Enhancement of relationships with high school career counselors, community college counselors, career center personnel, and other individuals and groups which will enhance recruiting activity specifically for nursing students.
  • Personal growth, effective decision-making, organizational skills, and time management.
  • The number of tasks performed through initiative and creative thinking to assist and improve the daily flow of responsibilities for the nursing recruitment endeavors.

V. Minimum Requirements

  • Statement of Christian Faith.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of following set procedures with the ability to suggest communicate at a professional level.
  • Maintain a polished appearance and adhere to professional dress standards.
  • Ability to deal with students and others in a mature and professional manner.
  • Must be organized and possess an aptitude to handle quick changes.
  • Must be able to work well with a sales-oriented staff, possess computer skills, and communicate at a professional level.
