Dual Credit

Learn more about MBU

For students who wish to get a jumpstart on their college education, MBU offers dual credit programs for students throughout Missouri and the metro St. Louis area. For public and private school students, college credit can be earned through the MBBU ECP program, and for homeschooled students, credit is earned through Home School on Campus. These programs are an excellent way for students to empower themselves toward success in a strong Christian educational environment.

MBU Early College Partnerships

MBU ECP (formerly EXCEL) began at Missouri Baptist University in 1983, and is a dual credit program with public and private high schools throughout the state. This program seeks to offer qualified high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to enroll in the same quality courses attended by MBU freshmen and sophomores. MBU ECP is different from Advanced Placement (AP) courses because students are graded over work completed over an entire semester, as opposed to a one-time test. Learn More…

Home School on Campus

Similar to EXCEL on high school campuses, homeschooled students have the opportunity to gain college credit through the dual-enrollment program at Missouri Baptist University. This program enables students to get a head start on earning college credit for general education courses as they complete requirements for their high school diploma. We invite home-schooled students to our campus to work with passionate teachers who believe in a Christ-centered education to prepare students for a successful life both professionally and personally.
