In addition to our semester and summer term programs MBU offers short term – faculty led programs. These programs vary by location and emphasis and usually last 9 to 11 days. Most of these programs are scheduled immediately after the close of the spring semester. Our currently scheduled programs are listed below. New Year’s Eve in Israel!

MBU, in partnership with Passages Israel, will lead a team of students to encounter the roots of their Biblical faith first-hand and come face to face with the modern-day miracle that is Israel from December 29, 2022-January 8, 2023. Upon their return, they will have opportunities to build upon their trip experiences by engaging in further leadership training, with an end goal of being an informed voice for both their Christian faith and for Israel.

To apply this incredible opportunity complete the form Here . Deadlines for registration and $200 deposit is September 15 and full payment due by October 24, 2022. Basic Qualifications for this trip:

  • Enrolled as full-time (undergrad and graduate), on-campus student at MBU
  • 18-30 years old
  • Commitment to the Christian faith
  • Commit to pre-trip and post-trip requirements
  • Must be involved in, or show potential for, leadership at MBU

The value of this trip is between $3,500 – $4,000. However, Passages and their partners cover the following:

  • All international travel
  • Most food with the exception of four meals in-country
  • Lodging
  • Admission fees for site visits
  • Limited travel health insurance

Students are responsible for:

  • Transportation to gateway airport (Chicago
  • $200 programmatic deposit ($150 refundable upon completion of Passages post-trip program!)
  • $2,550 program fee (Minus $200 deposit)
  • $80 (recommended amount) to cover four meals
  • Funds for souvenirs and incidentals

*Student may have the option to receive course credit.

Experience the culture and sites of Ghana while also serving in a beautiful, vibrant village in the heart of Africa.

Students will be helping with the First Step Academy which was started in 2015 by Stephen Addo and Dr. Brinkley. The school enrolls 115+ students and 6 full-time staff.

– Flight (round trip from St. Louis)

– 3 meals per day, 1 liter of water

– Visa ($60 + shipping)

– Yellow Fever ($175)
– Malaria

Deposit of $250 is due February 1.
Flights will be purchased by March 15. Must have passport, visa and up to $1500 paid.
