Assistant or Associate Professor – Cybersecurity and Network Engineering - Missouri Baptist University

(Main Campus in St. Louis, MO)

Missouri Baptist University (MBU) is a Christ-centered university located in Saint Louis, Missouri. The School of Accounting, Business Administration, and Technology in the College of Business & Entrepreneurship at MBU’s main campus is now accepting applications for a full time Assistant or Associate Professor in Cybersecurity and Network Engineering (9-month contract) to teach in person and online formats and serve as the Program Chair beginning in August 2024.  A Doctorate degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field with a master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or closely related field; or business doctorate with 15 credit hours in the field and a master’s degree in a closely related field is preferred.  A master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or closely related field with an undergraduate degree in the same or similar field will be considered.  The masters and doctorate degrees are required to have been conferred at an ACBSP or AACSB accredited institution(s).  Applicants must reside in the United States of America. 

MBU is committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service while integrating faith in teaching and the pursuit of knowledge.  Teaching experience at the college level with competency in Canvas LMS is preferred.  Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in Cybersecurity and programming languages such as Python and Java. Candidates with cybersecurity, computer science related certifications, knowledge of the certification processes, and industry experience are a plus.  The applicant must be able to relate to and engage students; build and develop programs; lead a student IT/Cybersecurity Club; work closely with the Associate Dean of the School of Accounting, Business Administration, & Technology; and be able to develop partnerships in the technology and business communities. Additional responsibilities include student mentoring, committee assignments, service to the community, scholarly activity, and other duties as assigned by the Dean of the College of Business & Entrepreneurship Salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s education, background, and experience.
