SUMMARY:

The Summer Music Intern will assist the music staff with worship & music related projects and tasks, as well as serve on the weekends in a variety of different roles as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assisting with the many miscellaneous details of rehearsals and weekend services
  • Assisting with music team related errands as needed (picking up equipment, etc.)
  • Assisting as needed during occasional weeknight Crossing events
  • Assisting as needed for rehearsals and services for seasonal events – Baptism, Worship Blowout, etc.
  • Other misc. assignments given by supervisor and senior staff

  • Musical abilities should include singing and/or playing an instrument well

Over the 10 weeks of summer, interns for Outreach will get to be a part of nearly every facet of what we do.  This position will include: getting your hands dirty on community projects, being relational with volunteers and community organizations, and providing administrative support for the Outreach team and projects.  This internship is geared toward a college student looking for an opportunity to see if local missions, social work, or a similar field of work would be a good fit for them.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist with any preparation needs for Outreach serve days, including administrative tasks such as volunteer check-in, emails, etc.
  • Purchase Outreach supplies as assigned.
  • Participate in serve days and other Outreach events as assigned.
  • Assist with the planning for Backpack Attack.
  • Shadow and assist Outreach staff with volunteer and leader gatherings as assigned.
  • May be opportunity to shadow community meetings based on interest and appropriateness.
