How do I log on to campus library computers?
You must have a current MBU ID to use computers and check items out from the library. Log on to library computers using the number under your picture on your ID and create a password. The username and password is the same as your Canvas or myMBUaccount

How do I locate library materials?
On the right-hand side of the Jung-Kellogg Library homepage, there are dark blue navigation buttons that say: Library Catalog and Library Databases. Click on either of the buttons and it will link to the library resources in the Jung-Kellogg Library.

How long can library materials be checked out for?
Books can be checked out for four weeks and then renewed if there is no hold on them. Periodicals can be checked out for one week and then renewed if there is no hold on them. Current issues cannot be checked out. Reference works must remain in the library.
How many library materials can be checked out at once?
A total of ten items can be checked out at one time. Four books and three periodicals of the same topic can be checked out at once. Two A/V materials can be checked out at once with special permission.
Can I view a list of library materials I have checked out currently?
On the Jung-Kellogg Library page, click on the dark blue navigation button that says, Library Catalog. This will link to the page with the MBU, Bridges, and MOBIUS catalogs. Under “Find a Book”, click on MBU Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) link. At the top of the next page is a blue bar that says, MOBIUS, Bridges, Missouri Baptist University, My Account, Help, and Course Reserves. Click on My Account and enter your name and MOBIUS ID. (The MOBIUS ID is located on the back of the student ID. Example: 0000123456MBU). If any items are checked out, the items will appear on the “My Account” page.

How do I request books from other lending institutions?
On the Jung-Kellogg Library page, click on the dark blue navigation button that says, Library Catalog. This will link to the page with the MBU, Bridges and MOBIUS catalogs. Under “Find a Book”, click on either the Bridges or MOBIUS link. Do a search for a book by keyword, author, or title. Once the book is found, check to make sure that the book is available. If the book is available, click on the Request link. On the next page, from the drop-down menu choose Bridges for the cluster. Click on “submit information”. On the next page, enter your name and MOBIUS ID. (The MOBIUS ID is located on the back of the Student ID. Example: 0000123456MBU.) For the pick-up cluster, choose Bridges from the drop-down menu. For the pick-up location, choose Missouri Baptist University from the drop-down menu. Click on “Submit”. The next page will say if the transaction was successful.

How can I access library databases from off campus?
You must have a current MBU ID to access library databases. On the Jung-Kellogg Library homepage there are dark blue navigation buttons on the right-hand side. Click on the navigation button that says “Library Databases”. A login box may appear. In the login box, enter a current MBU ID and password. (The Canvas/myMBU login and password will work.) After submitting the login and password, you will be linked to the next page that lists the MBU subscription databases. To access a database, click on the name of the database.

What services are available at the library?
Reference assistance with professional librarians, full-text database access, inter-library loans and group library orientations and bibliographic lessons are available at the library.

Faculty and Staff:
How long can faculty and staff check out library materials?
Faculty and staff can keep library materials for a full semester. If faculty or staff finish the materials prior to the return date, it is requested they return the materials so others may use them.
Can a faculty member reserve items from the library?
Contact Ling Thumin or Linda Webb at 314-392-2320 or email the circulation desk at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve an item. We ask that faculty provide their name, the course number, how long the material is to be reserved and how the items are to be circulated among students checking it out for that course (two-day check out, overnight check out, etc.). Allow 24 hours for the reservation to take effect. Faculty will be contacted at the end of each semester regarding cancellation or continuation of reservations.
Can a faculty member review their class reserve list online?
Yes. Go to the Jung-Kellogg Library home page. On the right-hand side of the page are dark blue navigation buttons. Click on the “Library Catalog” navigation button. On the next page, under “Find a Book” click on MBU Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). At the top of the “Library Catalog” search page, there is a blue banner that lists MOBIUS, Bridges, Missouri Baptist University, My Library Account, Help, and Course Reserves. Click on Course Reserves. On the next page, type in either the course name and/or the professor’s name. A results page will appear with the materials that have been placed On Reserve under that professor’s name.
Can a book from another lending institution be placed on a faculty member’s reserve list?
No. If a professor wants a particular title of a book or other type of research material, please contact the Director of Library Services, Ms. Nitsa Hindeleh, at email@example.com or call 314-392-2319. Please provide Ms. Hindeleh with the title of the work, the author’s name, the publisher, and, if possible, the ISBN number.
