How do I log on to campus learning center computers?
You must have a current MBU ID to use computers and check items out from the learning center. Log on to learning center computers using the number under your picture on your ID and create a password. The username and password is the same as your Canvas or myMBU account.
If a problem occurs or you forget your password, contact the IT department at 314-392-2377.
How do I locate materials?
On the Jung-Kellogg Learning Center homepage, there are links for “MBU Library Catalog” under Find Books and “Databases A-Z” under Getting Started with Library Research. Click on either of these and it will link to the library resources in the Jung-Kellogg Learning Center.
How long can materials be checked out for?
Books can be checked out for four weeks and then renewed if there is no hold on them. A/V materials can be checked out for 7 days and then renewed once if there is no hold on them. Reference works must remain in the learning center.
How many materials can be checked out at once?
A total of 25 items can be checked out at one time.
Can I view a list of materials I have checked out currently?
Yes. Go to the Jung-Kellogg Learning Center home page. Under “Find Books” click on the “MBU Library Catalog” navigation button. At the top of the “Library Catalog” search page, there is a blue banner that lists MOBIUS, Bridges, Missouri Baptist University, My Library Account, Help, Featured Lists, and Course Reserves. Click on My Account and enter your name and ID# with Institution code. (The ID # is your student ID# with Institution code MBU at the end. Example: 123456MBU). If any items are checked out, the items will appear on the “My Account” page.
How do I request books from other lending institutions?
On the Jung-Kellogg Learning Center page, click on the “MOBIUS Catalog” link under “Find Books.” Do a search for a book by keyword, author, or title. Once the book is found, check to make sure that the book is available. If the book is available, click on the Request link. On the next page, from the drop-down menu choose MOBIUS-Missouri Baptist University for the library. Click on “submit information”. On the next page, enter your name and ID# with Institution code. (The ID # is your student ID# with Institution code MBU at the end. Example: 123456MBU). For the pick-up library, choose MOBIUS-Missouri Baptist University from the drop-down menu. For the pick-up location, choose Missouri Baptist Univ, Library from the drop-down menu. Click on “Submit”. The next page will say if the transaction was successful.

How can I access databases from off campus?

You will be linked to the next page that lists the MBU subscription databases. To access a database, click on the name of the database. A login box may appear. In the login box, enter your name and ID# with Institution code. (The ID # is your student ID# with Institution code MBU at the end. Example: 123456MBU).
What services are available at the learning center?
Reference assistance with professional librarians, full-text database access, interlibrary loans and group library orientations and bibliographic lessons are available at the learning center.
Faculty and Staff:
How long can faculty and staff check out materials?
Faculty and staff can keep materials for 120 days. If faculty or staff finish the materials prior to the return date, it is requested they return the materials so others may use them.
Can a faculty member reserve items from the MBU collection?
Please review the following policies before completing the Course Reserve Request Form
(printable pdf) and return to the Service Desk at the Jung-Kellogg Learning Center or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can a faculty member review their class reserve list online?
Yes. Go to the Jung-Kellogg Learning Center home page. Under “Find Books” click on the “MBU Library Catalog” navigation button. At the top of the “Library Catalog” search page, there is a blue banner that lists MOBIUS, Bridges, Missouri Baptist University, My Library Account, Help, Featured Lists, and Course Reserves. Click on Course Reserves. On the next page, type in either the course name and/or the professor’s name. A results page will appear with the materials that have been placed On Reserve under that professor’s name.
Can a book from another lending institution be placed on a faculty member’s reserve list?
No. If a professor wants a particular title of a book or other type of research material, please contact the Director of Library Services, Mrs. Rebekah McKinney, at Rebekah.McKinney@mobap.edu or call 314-392-2319. Please provide Mrs. McKinney with the title of the work, the author’s name, the publisher, and, if possible, the ISBN number.
