Spring Speaker Series Features Renowned Christian Ethicist, Dr. David Gushee

Revered Christian ethicist Dr. David Gushee will speak during the 2014 Spring Speaker Series at Missouri Baptist University. The series runs from Feb. 4-6 at 11 a.m.

Gushee serves  as distinguished university professor of Christian Ethics and director of the Center for Theology and Public Life at Mercer University.

In addition to teaching at the undergraduate and seminary level, Gushee is a global speaker for churches, conferences and universities.

Gushee has collaborated on fifteen books related to ethics, including, “Righteous Gentiles of the Holocaust,” “Kingdom Ethics,” and “The Sacredness of Human Life.” Gushee  regularly contributes to national news outlets including USA Today, Huffington Post, Washington Post, Christianity Today and Associated Baptist Press.

Gushee received a bachelor of arts at the College of William and Mary, a master of divinity at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Philosophy  and  a Doctor of Philosophy at Union Theological Seminary in New York.
