The version of LockDown Browser provided by each institution is different and unique to each institution. If you have previously used LockDown Browser at another college or university, that version will not work with Canvas at MBU. You will need to do one of two things:
If you do not need the LockDown Browser from another institution, the first step would be to uninstall it from your program settings on your PC or Mac. After you have uninstalled LockDown Browser, use the link below to install LockDown Browser for MBU. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.
Install LockDown Browser at Missouri Baptist University
You can install a second version of LockDown Browser to work side-by-side with an already existing installation of LockDown Browser on your computer. The process differs depending on if you have a Windows PC or a Macintosh computer.
Follow these steps to install a second version on a Windows PC.
After you complete the installation process, you will see two versions of LockDown Browser in your applications menu under the Respondus folder. If you installed LockDown Browser for MBU as the second institution, the one labeled LockDown Browser – Second Institution is the one for MBU.
You can also create shortcuts on your Desktop for LockDown Browser and rename them appropriately so you can tell them apart from one another.
