A complete description of graduation requirements is available in the undergraduate catalog. A summary of those requirements are listed in checklist form.
___ Faculty advisor approves choice of degree and major field of study
___ Completion of mid-level assessment after 55-89 credit hours are earned
___ Completion of the major field test and/or internal/external assessment measures (portfolios, senior recitals, internships, senior research projects, etc.)
___ Cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale must be maintained*
___ Completion of a minimum of 45 upper division (300-400 level) credit hours
___ A minimum of 128 hours is required to complete a baccalaureate degree at MBU**
___ At least 6 hours of the major and 3 hours of the minor must be earned at MBU
___ At least 24 of the last 32 hours must be taken at MBU
___ Submission of “Application for Graduation” to the Records Office during first semester of junior year
___ Final “graduation check” completed with Director of Records no later than the tenth day of the semester in which the student intends to graduate
___ Attendance at commencement***
*Certain majors and degree programs require a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better, so students should check specific catalog requirements for their program.

*** Permission to graduate in absentia is granted in rare instances. Requests for exceptions should be made to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at least one month prior to commencement and must be approved by the faculty.
