MBU’s second Worship Arts seminar set for Feb. 28-March 1
The second annual Worship Heart & Art Seminar will feature a round-table discussion and sessions focusing on the theme “The Color of Worship” (Revelation 5:9-10).
Speakers include:
Rev. Anthony J. Carter, pastor of East Point Church inAtlanta; author of “Blood Work: How the Blood of Christ Accomplishes Our Salvation” and “On Being Black and Reformed”Dr. Bruce H. Leafblad, professor of church music and worship emeritus at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; contributing author to “Experience God in Worship”
Sandra Wright Shen, internationally recognized concert pianist
Dr. Michael Bauer, professor and director of doctoral program in church music at Kansas University; author of “Arts Ministry: Nurturing the Creative Life of God’s People”
David B. Capes is the Thomas Nelson Research Professor in the Department of Theology at Houston Baptist University. He is a graduate of Mercer University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author, co-author, and co-editor of 13 books. He and his wife, Cathy, have three adult sons and live in Richmond, Texas.
