MBU’s HSS Golf Tournament raises funds for worthy causes
MBU’s Third Annual Health and Sport Sciences (HSS) Golf Tournament raised nearly $15,000 for local children in need and MBU students.
The tournament, which was held April 13 at the Gateway National Golf Club in Madison, Ill., brought out more than 130 golfers. Proceeds of the event will go to support professional development opportunities for HSS students and the St. Louis Cardinals Care Foundation.
Celebrating its fifteenth year, the St. Louis Cardinals Care Foundation is the charity operation of the local baseball team. The Cardinals Care program has built 19 youth ball fields in local disadvantaged neighborhoods since 1997, sponsors local charities and continues to support over 4,500 children’s dream to play baseball each season. Funding for these programs are provided by appearances of the St. Louis Cardinals team.
The Division of Health and Sport Sciences at Missouri Baptist University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees promoting intellectual, spiritual and professional development, striving to enhance a Christ-centered lifestyle.
