MBU students to receive pro-rated refund for room and board

Following the University’s decision to move all in-person classes online for the remainder of the spring semester, MBU will issue pro-rated refunds for residential students’ room and board. 

The University transitioned to online courses on March 16 in an effort to protect the University community’s health and well-being while continuing to provide uninterrupted educational services during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.  

Students who did not return from Spring Break will be pro-rated using March 16 as the pro-rated start date. Those students will receive a 39.6 percent housing refund to reflect the unused room and board for the spring semester.

Credit refunds will be released to eligible students by April 10.

 Additionally, the University has established a fund to help students with unexpected needs as they are affected by the economic downturn or have unanticipated expenses due to the pandemic. Students and families can consider donating a portion of their refund to MBU students who have the greatest needs. To donate please visit: https://give.mobap.edu/. 

Students will be able to collect their belongings and officially move out of their dorms between April 24 and May 10. Students in unique situations can contact the office of residence life for alternate arrangements at ResidentLife@mobap.edu.
