MBU students return from serving in DR, eye trip to England
MBU students traveled 1,818 miles to Barahona, Dominican Republic to share God’s word earlier this summer.
MBU’s campus ministry organization, called A Mighty Passion (AMP), sponsored the 10-day international mission trip. The group traveled to several impoverished villages to spread the Gospel through sports evangelism, children’s ministry, women’s bible study and village outreach.
This is the second year AMP has coordinated a mission trip to the Caribbean country where nearly 10 percent of its people make less than $2 a day.
Another AMP group will embark to the Tees Valley in England later this summer. The students will be working in public schools, coordinating sports ministry in local parks, and leading café churches.
