MBU, Pujols Foundation team up for 2nd Annual All-Star Basketball Game
Albert Pujols was at Missouri Baptist University this past weekend for a worthy cause.
The Pujols Foundation and MBU teamed up for the second annual Albert Pujols All-Star Basketball Game at the Carl and Deloris Petty Sports and Recreation Complex on Nov. 11.
MBU’s Varsity Basketball Team competed against the Pujols’ All-Star team. The team consisted of teenagers and young adults diagnosed with Down syndrome. Pujols and other celebrity athletes including David Freese, Matt Holliday and Jackie Joyner-Kersee, played alongside the All-Stars.
The Pujols Family Foundation was founded by Albert Pujols and his wife, Deidre Pujols, in 2005. The Pujols Family Foundation assists those living with Down syndrome and improves the quality of life for those impoverished in the Dominican Republic.
