The Missouri Baptist University Health and Sport Science Division presented St. Louis Cardinals Care Foundation a $7,000 check at Busch Stadium, Sept. 10. Last April, MBU students hosted the third annual HSS Golf Tournament. A portion of the tournament’s proceeds went to Cardinals Care.

The Cardinals Care program works to establish youth ball fields in some of St. Louis’ most disadvantaged neighborhoods. Every year, more than 4,500 St. Louis area children are provided the opportunity to play baseball thanks to Cardinals Care.

The Cardinals hosted MBU Athletics Night at Busch Stadium Sept 17. MBU’s head baseball coach  Eddie Uschold threw the ceremonial pitch. The event has for years served as a fundraiser for MBU Athletics. This year, more than 1,200 MBU supporters attended the game.
