MBU Awarded Military Friendly Schools® Title

Missouri Baptist University has been named to the 2013 Military Friendly Schools ® list, which honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and to ensure their success on campus.

Victory Media compiles the list of Military Friendly Schools ® through extensive research and a data-driven survey of more than 12,000 VA-approved schools nationwide. The list can be found at www.militaryfriendlyschools.com.

MBU is one of 1,739 colleges, universities and trade schools on this year’s list that exhibit leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience.

The Yellow Ribbon Program at MBU provides a tuition-free education to students who qualify for full benefits under the Post 911 GI Bill. Veterans must have served more than 36 cumulative months of active duty since Sept. 10, 2001. MBU’s Yellow Ribbon Program then covers the balance of tuition after Post 911 benefits are applied.
