MBU Athletics Receives Five-Star rating from NAIA

Missouri Baptist University has earned the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award for the 2013-2014 school year.

To achieve this status, universities must:

  • Develop continuous character and professional development for student-athletes, coaches and administrative athletic staff
  • Maintain high quality game management and hospitality at athletic events
  • Maintain a high level of ethical conduct in competition
  • Hold an annual student-led servant leadership activity
  • Continually oversee and assess the university’s athletic program

The mission of the Champions of Character program is “to provide training to ensure character is demonstrated through conduct as well as competition, so students know, do and value the right thing in all areas of life”.

MBU is a member of the NAIA aerican Midwest Conference (AMC), which received Champions of Character Five-Star status as well.

The University has received Champions of Character Five-Star Institution status for more than a decade.
