MBU Announces New Campus Minister

New Campus Minister Aaron Lumpkin is set to continue the mission of spiritual development at Missouri Baptist University.
Lumpkin graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with his B.A. in Pastoral Leadership and Biblical Exposition. He attained his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Before coming to MBU, Lumpkin worked at Imago Dei Church in Raleigh, North Carolina as the pastor for student discipleship.
Lumpkin said three core values will serve as a foundation for MBU campus ministries: gospel, community and mission.
He hopes students come to have a genuine faith and wants students to be a part of the family of God, part of the community of faith and become involved in local churches. He also plans to serve the community locally and internationally while following God’s plan for His world come to know, love, follow and serve him.
Lumpkin said he is interested in the combination of academia and spiritual formation at MBU and wants to help students begin to think critically not only about life but the direction of their life.
