MBU Announces Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership
Missouri Baptist University is set to launch a Doctorate in Education in Higher Education Leadership this fall. The new Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program will begin in fall of 2015 and prepare professionals to lead within colleges and universities and the ever-changing landscape of higher education.
The addition of the Higher Education Leadership program will be among the most affordable programs in the bi-state area. Classes meet one time a week, allowing students to maintain their current roles in higher education. The capstone research project is integrated throughout the program, providing students the ability to complete the Ed.D. in 2.5 years.
Graduates of this terminal degree will be prepared to lead the evolving industry of higher education and address prominent issues expected to face the next generation of college and university administrators. Classes will be taught by St. Louis area leaders, many whom are currently working in the industry.
The Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership will complement the University’s other doctorate program, the Ed.D with an emphasis in Leadership in Teaching and Learning. That program was launched in 2012.
