|Dear Spartans, |
As the fall semester quickly approaches, I write to you today—just days away from the beginning of our fall semester—to keep you informed of the latest information related to our plan to safely return to campus. As you know, faculty and staff, along with the COVID-19 Action Team, have spent the summer developing a comprehensive, University-wide plan that keeps the MBU community’s well-being paramount. The plan calls for significant modifications to “business as usual” and will necessitate a high level of cooperation from our student body, faculty and staff.
Of particular newsworthiness, the Mid-States Football Association, the conference in which MBU is member, recently voted to move the league semester to the spring semester. MBU’s other fall sports will move forward with their seasons as currently scheduled, which includes regular-season conference and non-conference play, and the conference postseason championships. The NAIA National Championships for those sports will be delayed to the spring.
Below, you’ll find important information regarding the start of the fall semester. It is important that you read the information thoroughly, in addition to our Spartan Strong: MBU Returns to Campus web site. This fall will no doubt present unique challenges, but I am confident our hope-filled, compassionate community will rise to the occasion and be a shining light during this difficult season. I am excited to see you soon.
Mask up, Spartans.
