Dear students,
As you know, MBU main campus courses are transitioning to an online/distance learning format through April 3. Currently, in-person classes are set to resume Monday, April 6. Students should continue to monitorhttps://www.mobap.edu/coronavirus-advisory/, consult the Frequently Asked Questions, and direct any questions or concerns to Covid19response@mobap.edu.
The COVID-19 pandemic is rapidly changing and MBU will communicate any updates and provide guidance accordingly. I have outlined some important travel information below:
If you decide to leave or remain outside the U.S. during this period of distance learning:
– Before leaving the U.S.:
o Make sure you have a valid travel endorsement on Page 2 of your I-20, a valid visa, and valid passport for you to return
– Returning to the U.S.:
o You are expected to return for on-campus classes – currently expected April 6. Please communicate all travel plans with Lauren Repp.
o If you traveled to a region of the world that the CDC has categorized as a Level 2 or 3 or have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, you may not return to campus for a period of 14 days. If you begin to feel symptoms related to COVID-19 please contact the Missouri Health Department COVID-19 24-hour hotline for specific instructions 877-435-8411(https://health.mo.gov/living/healthcondiseases/communicable/novel-coronavirus/)
– Note: Entrance into the U.S. is never guaranteed. By leaving the U.S., you risk future complications or expansions of travel bans. Please consult the U.S. Department of State page for updates on COVID-19 travel advisories.
If you decide to remain in the U.S. during this period of distance learning:
– Housing:
o Students are asked to seek every avenue to live off campus between now and April 5, 2020. Students who for extreme, extenuating circumstance must remain in the residence halls must complete theResidence Hall COVID-19 Form.
All MBU academic policies are still in effect. You are expected to remain active in your classes and make normal academic progress in your degree program.
Please let me know if you are currently outside of the U.S. or if you plan to leave the U.S.
To clarify:
Praying for peace and health during this time.
Sincerely,
LAUREN REPP | Director, International Student Services
