Dr. Keith Ross


Dr. Keith Ross assumed the presidency of Missouri Baptist University in January 2018 and began his tenure at MBU in 1992. During his time at MBU, he has successfully led three major fundraising campaigns that have provided resources to further the University’s Christ-centered mission. In 1987, Dr. Ross earned a bachelor of arts in religion from MBU. He earned a master of arts in organizational leadership in 2008 from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2014, he earned his doctorate of education in higher education leadership from Maryville University in St. Louis. In addition, Ross has completed postgraduate work at Harvard University’s Institute for Educational Management.

Cynthia Sutton

Executive Director of Admissions

With 20 years’ experience in higher education, Cynthia heads the Undergraduate Admissions team in recruiting and assisting incoming first year and transfer students.

Michelle Derby

Financial Services Counselor for New Students

Michelle assists all incoming students with understanding scholarships, loans, and aid while ensuring students are ready to start the day their first class begins.

Aaron Lumpkin

Campus Minister

Aaron Lumpkin serves as the Campus Minister and Director of Faith & Service at Missouri Baptist University where his three core values are gospel, community and mission. Aaron and his high school sweetheart Sara have three boys: Isaiah, Jonathan, and Samuel. He obtained a B.A. from Liberty University and a M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he is a Ph.D. candidate in Historical Theology. He previously served as Pastor for Student Discipleship at Imago Dei Church in Raleigh, NC. He is currently co-editing a book on the piety of Charles Spurgeon.

Kayla Knapp

Resident Director

Kayla, her husband Brian, and their two beautiful children live in North Hall, MBU’s all-female residence hall. She has been a part of the Resident Life professional staff since 2013. Between ResLife fun, sporting events, and fine arts productions, she and her family stay very happily busy with all things MBU. She is most noted for saying “North Hall: Worth the Walk” and “ResLife is the best life” but don’t just take it from her, move on campus and see for yourself!

Kim Grey

Associate Dean of Students

As Associate Dean of Students, Kim Grey oversees MBU’s Student Health Services which includes making sure students have adequate access and services through our on-site clinic and assisting them with counseling and support for their individual behavioral health needs.

Iris Dixon

Asst. Athletic Director

Iris Dixon serves as as Associate AD and Senior Women’s Administrator where she focuses on the administrative side of Athletics, specifically, academic and competitive compliance issues. She will also be looking for ways to enhance and grow programs which provide more opportunities for female student-athletes. Previously, Dixon served as the head coach of Spartans’ women’s basketball in 2011 and has been a part of the Missouri Baptist University basketball family since 2000.

Bailey Ruess

MBU Student Ambassador

Bailey is a Full Trustee Scholar studying Exercise Science. She also works on campus as a Student Ambassador tour guide, and volunteers through Circle K International. Additionally, Bailey participates in a variety of student activities such as Spartan Wall, MBU Outdoors, and Student Panel. She represents the student body on our All About MBU panel today.
