Missouri Baptist University strives to remove barriers for individuals with disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the American with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008. Students who are enrolled through MBU ECP may request accommodations through their teacher or high school coordinator. To qualify for services, students must self-identify and must register each year with the MBU Student Disability Services office using the following process.
- The student must submit the following paperwork to the high school coordinator at their school.
- The high school coordinator must submit all forms and documentation to the Director of MBU ECP who will forward it to the MBU Assistant Director of Student Disability Services.
- The MBU Assistant Director of Student Disability Services will build a Verification of Individual Student Accommodation (VISA) which describes the student’s needed accommodations. VISAs are typically issued within 48 hours of the time that that all documentation has been received.
- The VISA will be routed back through the Director of MBU ECP, to the high school coordinator, and then to the high school teacher(s).
