Applied Management Program Overview

In keeping with the mission of Missouri Baptist University and the School of Business, the accounting program prepares students for the ethical and professional practice of accounting to meet business needs.  Students will learn the foundational knowledge and skills of accounting along with the current (and future) technologies that will drive the field.  Accounting students at MBU are encouraged to join the Accounting Club for networking with students, faculty, and professionals to make career choices that honor God’s calling.

Students will be exposed to real world experiences in a specific field of business. Variable credit may be taken in different field settings, though it is not to exceed a combined total of six hours. Accounting Certificate Requirements

u003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eAccounting Certificate:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003eu003cpu003eA total of 30 semester hours is required to earn the Business Certificate. Transfer credit will be accepted into this certificate program from anu003cbru003eaccredited college or school up to a maximum of 20 hours, up to 9 hours of which may be earned through credit by examination and/oru003cbru003eportfolio assessment of prior learning. Portfolio credit is only available to those students who have completed a minimum of 12 semester hoursu003cbru003ein residency at Missouri Baptist University. Students must complete a minimum of 10 semester hours in residency at Missouri Baptistu003cbru003eUniversity to earn the Accounting Certificate.u003cbru003eA student must earn a grade of C or better in all courses taken to meet the Thirty-Hour Accounting Certificate requirements.
