Choral Department

The Missouri Baptist University Chamber Singers, in light of the Covid Pandemic, sought to find an avenue to share the light of Christ through their singing as traditional concerts were not currently an option. While adhering to safety procedures, including the wearing of masks, the students rehearsed this semester and gathered together over fall break to record their first ever choral album!
Featuring traditional songs of Christmas as well as Contemporary Christian worship settings of Christmas songs old and new, this CD will certainly be one to play around the house as you decorate your tree and ring in the Christmas season. With 9 songs performed by the Chamber Singers and 3 performed by MBU Chorale, we also invited back recent alumni to join us on two of the Chorale pieces! Also featured on the album are 8 soloists, all undergraduate students in our choral program. Not only are we proud of this exciting project, but the students had a wonderful education in music recording, sound production, and studio work.
     CDs are $10
For an additional $5 apiece we can mail your CD directly to your home.
All profits will be used to create an endowment for the Choral Department.
You are welcome to donate above and beyond the cost of the CD in order to benefit the creation of our Choral Endowment.

Ireland Trip

MAY 2017 – “…May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

MBU Choirs traveled to Ireland May 4-11, 2017.  Visiting famous sites like Christ Church Cathedral, Malahide Castle, Trinity College, Blarney Castle, The Ring of Kerry, and much more, the choirs traveled with the intention of spreading good will, good cheer, and most importantly the good news of the gospel.

The choir, comprised of Chorale and Choral Society members, along with our President and First Lady, Dr. & Mrs. Lacey, performed four times throughout the tour with enthusiastic and supportive audiences.  On Sunday we had the great opportunity to worship with Grace Fellowship, a small Baptist church plant in Kilarney. Not only was it a blessing to sing for this congregation, but joining in worship through song and proclamation of His Word was an experience we will not forget. Join The Singing Campus in 2020 when we travel overseas again. Destination: TBD.

Due to restrictions pertaining to COVID-19, all choral concerts have been transitioned to virtual performances that will be streamed at a date to be determined.

As more information is available, the SPRING 21 Schedule will be released.
