Instructional Design Specialist

Missouri Baptist University is accepting applications for an Instructional Design Specialist. The Instructional Design Specialist (IDS) will oversee all online course design and development, identify and recommend online instructional materials and learning technologies, and be responsible for the evaluation of all online courses.


  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in instructional design or related field
  • Knowledge of current and emerging instructional technologies
  • Experience working within various Learning Management Systems (Canvas)
  • Experience and knowledge of adult learning theory, learner outcome assessment, project management strategies, and competency-based online education
  • Knowledge and experience in the development and evaluation of online courses
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • College/University teaching experience
