Assistant or Associate Professor – Information Technology

Location: Main Campus in St. Louis, MO

Missouri Baptist University (MBU) is a Christ-centered university located in Saint Louis, Missouri. The School of Business at MBU’s main campus is seeking a full time Assistant or Associate Professor in Information Technology to teach face-to-face classes as well as teach online courses as needed. A Doctorate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field with a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field is preferred. A business related doctorate with 15 credit hours or more in Information Technology or Computer Science specific courses with a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field will be considered. The masters and doctorate degrees are required to have been conferred at an ACBSP or AACSB accredited institution(s).

All applicants must have direct industry experience. Teaching experience at the college level with competency in LMS is required. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in Cyber Security and/or Application Development. Candidates with technology/computer science related certifications and knowledge of the certification processes are a plus. The applicant must be able to relate to and engage students, be a program builder, and be able to develop partnerships in the technology and business communities. Duties for the position include teaching, student advisement, committee assignments, and other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Business.
