Hello Students and Parents,
Today, Saturday, March 21, 2020, the Mayor of St. Louis and Department of Health issued COVID-19 – Executive Order – 15 instructing individuals to “Stay at Home.” The order and “Stay At Home” document can be found on the St. Louis County Department Of Health’s COVID-19 website at: https://www.stlouisco.com/Your-Government/County-Executive/COVID-19 on the right hand side. The “Stay at Home” order begins Monday, March 23, 2020.
In response, the University is allowing faculty and staff to prepare to work remotely and gather needed work supplies from their offices before March 23. Faculty and staff will continue to fully serve students remotely through online systems and can be reached by email, through the Canvas system, and are reaching out to students by phone.
No students should go to campus at this time and students should follow the instructions of the St. Louis County “Stay at Home Order.”
As outlined in yesterday’s email to all students, faculty, and staff about the university’s decision to complete the Spring semester classes online – more detailed information for residential students about pro-rated refunds for room and board and information about officially moving out/vacating the residence halls will be communicated no later than Friday, March 27, 2020.
Please be patient as we work diligently and quickly for orderly processes to help you move out of the residence halls while continuing to work with rapidly changing local government directions.
Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Kind regards,
Ben
