“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” to debut on MBU stage

Missouri Baptist University is set to present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” but with a modern twist.

The classic comedy is infused with a high school plot, similar to the television show “Glee.”

Athens High School students Helena, Lysander, Hermia, and Demetrius venture through high school, but their experience includes singing, dancing and mischievous fairies. A nerdy troupe of actors, the basketball coach, and the school principal (played by MBU President Dr. Alton Lacey) join the students’ adventure.
