The MBU Freedom Run for Ronald 5k will be held on November 8, 2014. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The race begins at 9 a.m. The run/walk will begin at Missouri Baptist University’s West Saint Louis County campus, located a quarter mile west of the intersection of highways 270 and 40. The run/walk will take participants on a scenic stroll through West County, before ending in front of the new Ronald McDonald House on the campus of Mercy Hospital. Shuttles will be available to provide return transportation to the MBU Campus.

The cost is $20 per person- if fee and registration form is postmarked by Oct. 28, 2014. The cost for participants registering after Oct. 28 and on race day is $25. The cost for MBU students is $8. All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt. Snacks and beverages will be provided at the finish line. The theme this year is once again red, white and blue in celebration of Veteran’s Day

BENEFICIARY: Ronald McDonald House Charities

Since 1981, RMHC of Metro St. Louis has served as a “home-away-from-home” for more than 30,000 families traveling to St. Louis with seriously ill children. The three houses provide a comfortable bed, warm meals, hot showers, and a network of families who share the similar burden of having a seriously ill child. In addition, three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms have provided comfort and care to more than 10,000 families of pediatric inpatients at St. Louis hospitals since 2005. Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide many of the same comforts of the House, but within the hospital.
