YMCAs have led community-based health and fitness for more than a century. Participation in Y health and fitness programs offer opportunities for friendship and community, a sense of well-being, self-confidence, and improved mental abilities and cognition - not to mention the obvious benefits of healthy hearts, lungs, bones and muscles.
- Resident students are entitled to 10 Free YMCA visits per semester. They can obtain a punch card from Krista Huse in the office of the Vice President of Student Development.
- The hours during which MBU students may use the YMCA facility are listed on the punch cards and each student must present their student ID alng with their punch card upon entering the YMCA.
- Once a resident student's 10 free visits are used up, the student may purchase additional YMCA punch cards for $20.00 (10 visits per card).
- Commuter students do not receive their first ten visits free, but they are entitled to purchase the $20.00 punch cards from the office of the Vice President of Student Development.
- Students must abide by MBU policies as well as YMCA policies when using the YMCA facilities.
- Punch cards are non-refundable and non-transferrable
- Any student's privilege of using the YMCA facilities through MBU may be relinquished if deemed necessary by MBU Resident Life and Student Development staff.
Facility usage does not include towel service, classes, racquetball courts or guest services. It does include the pool, fitness center, free weight room, track, locker room, whirlpool, steam room and sauna.
