Our story:
Further defining MBU’s distinct campus culture, The Perk was founded in 2007 as an open venue for the University’s increasingly diverse population. The name itself has a storied past at MBU. For more than a decade, MBU has hosted a coffeehouse event, dubbed The Perk, which showcases student's music, poetry and other art forms. The name was chosen after a campus-wide name solicitation.
