On-Campus Ministries

A Mighty Passion (AMP)

A Mighty Passion (AMP) is a God-glorifying community of Christ’s followers of Christ coming together to be actively on mission and see lives changed for Jesus Christ our Savior. (Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20)

We exist to lead the MBU community in the Triune God’s mission to glorify Himself and to make Himself known to his creation. We seek to fulfill this calling by exemplifying the transforming power of the gospel to a diverse student body, building relationships, intentionally sharing the gospel both in word and deed, teaching the truth of God’s Word in a post-modern generation, discipling students to maturity in Christ and leading them to connect to the local church.

Through AMP, you can be a part of a group of faculty, staff and students that desire to encourage, positively build one another up and experience life together. In our gatherings and local and international missions, we seek to live for one thing: Jesus Christ, the author and giver of life and purpose.

Through worship, spiritual formation and service, AMP strives to engage heart, mind, soul and strength in the pursuit of knowing Christ and making him known. We seek to move our students to a Biblical worldview and are intentional about our commitment as Christ-followers.

We believe true purpose in life is only found in a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ. We trust scripture is total truth and we can have full confidence in the gospel of Jesus Christ in this post-modern generation.

Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.
Matthew 28:19-20
