Women's wrestling ranked third in WCWA
In the most recent ranking released by the Women's Collegiate Wrestling Association (WCWA), the MBU women's wrestling team has received a third place team ranking. Six Lady Spartan athletes are ranked in the nation's top three in their weight class. The rankings are determined by the WCWA program coaches.
As a team, Missouri Baptist is ranked below just Oklahoma City University and the University of the Cumberlands. Individually, freshman Veronica Carlson (63 KG) and senior Desiree Memea (95 KG) received the highest ranking for MBU, both holding the top spot. Receiving second place rankings for MBU are freshman Helen Maroulis (55 KG) and sophomore Schuyler Brown (59 KG). Sophomore Amy Whitbeck (51 KG) and freshman Caitlin Chase (48 KG) round out the Lady Spartan rankings, both sitting in third.
