
Jonathan White moved to Saint Louis from Nashville, Tennesse to begin working as MBU’s campus minister. In his current position, White is charged with molding students’ spiritual formation, overseeing Student Ministries Council, and finding opportunities for students in local and foreign ministries and missions.
White served as the college pastor of The Church at Crosspoint in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. While there, White founded the Bonhoeffer’s Coffee Shop, a full coffee bar ministry located adjacent to Middle State Tennessee University—the largest university in Tennessee. In addition, White helped and encouraged students to participate in mission trips to a myriad of foreign countries, including: Thailand, Africa, Canada and Mexico.
White has been married to his wife, Melissa, for 12 years. They have three children: Leah,Austin, and Brady.

If you could trade places with anyone for day, who would it be?
An Egyptian Archeologist.
What is your advice to an incoming MBU student?
Die to yourself and follow Christ everyday.
What are your life goals?
To be whole-hearted for Jesus. To love my wife. To be a daddy to my kids.
What is your favorite thing to do on a Tuesday night?
Watch episodes of King of Queens with my wife after the kids have gone to bed.
What is your favorite blend of coffee?
Grande non-fat, sugar-free vanilla latte with whip cream
What is your favorite place on campus?
The Perk (MBU's Coffee House).
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Allowing God to be Lord of my life and teaching college classes (while holding a grande coffee).
Why work at a Christian university?
I enjoy the direct ministry to college students and the ability to teach classes.
Where do you like to spend time in St. Louis?
The Hill, The Loop and The Valley.
