RE: MBU Campus Visit Day attracts students from around the world
MBU Campus Visit Day attracts students from around the world
January 23, 2008
Renata Fanti hails from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Brittany Endejan, a prospective MBU student, talks with a University representative Jan. 21 at Campus Visit Day.
Brittany Endejan is a native of South Saint Louis County, Mo.
Despite living a world away, the two soon-to-be college students came together, along with nearly 100 prospective Missouri Baptist University students, Jan. 21 for the first of two MBU Spring Campus Visit Days.
It is always encouraging to meet with prospective students and their families, said Terry Dale Cruse, MBU director of admissions. This day is a great way for students to sample what MBU has to offer. I am very excited about the potential presented in these future MBU students.
Those in attendance took in a host of performances by MBUs performance groups, learned about MBU during informative breakout sessions and at the University Street Fair and toured MBUs West St. Louis County campus.
(MBU) just seems like a place that provides a great Christian community, said Endejan, who is a member at Concord Church in South County.
Fanti, who visited several other colleges in St. Louis during her trip to the Midwest, echoed Endejans sentiment. Barring any major changes, both plan to attend MBU next fall. Participants represented three countries and a handful of states.
Two $1,000 scholarships were given at random to prospective students who applied for admission during the event. Rychelle Herzig of Francis-Howell Central High School and Matt Westermayer of Francis-Howell High School.
In addition to those scholarships, application fees were waived for prospective students who applied for admission to MBU during the event.
MBUs next Spring Campus Visit Day is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon. That day will include a host of music auditions for prospective students, musical performances and an information fair. For more information or to register for the fall Campus Visit Day, please call the Office of Admissions toll-free at (877) 434-1115, e-mail admissions@mobap.edu.
