Dr. Mary Sue Thompson, dean of Missouri Baptist University’s Troy-Wentzville Extension, was nominated Jan. 16 to serve on the United Way of Greater St. Louis’ Board of Directors at its annual meeting, which was held at MBU.

Thompson was also appointed at the Annual Meeting to serve as the vice chair of the United Way’s Tri-County Auxillary Board, which covers St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties.

Serving in that capacity, Thompson will help engage the Tri-County community in United Way initiatives and help generate support to serve the people in need in that community.

Dr. Alton Lacey, MBU President, also serves on United Way’s Board of Directors.

United Way’s Annual Meeting brought nearly 150 civic leaders from throughout the bi-state region to MBU. United Way of Greater St. Louis raises and distributes $70 million annually to agencies providing health and human services for 1 million people in 16 counties of Missouri and Illinois.
