Since Bradford took the helm of Missouri Baptist University’s Business Division in 1999, she has helped equip thousands of burgeoning business professionals—in and out of the classroom—with the tools needed to be innovative leaders.

“Professor Bradford works tirelessly to help train business leaders of tomorrow,” said Dr. Arlen Dykstra, MBU provost and vice president for academic affairs. “Her passion to help students receive the best training available is daily evident through an unmatched zeal inside the classroom, keen management skills and a devotion to extra-curricular activities at MBU.”

In 2000, Bradford, MBU business division chairperson and associate professor, was named a Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow in recognition of her leadership and support of the university’s now nationally acclaimed Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) program. Bradford founded MBU’s SIFE chapter in 1999. SIFE, a team of an international non-profit organization that mobilizes university students to create economic opportunity for others, has become one of Bradford’s true passions as she encourages students to take classroom knowledge and apply it to real-life situations, and to use their knowledge to better their communities through educational and community service projects. Under Bradford’s watch, MBU’s SIFE team has won five regional championships, in addition to receiving national recognition.

Bradford has also been instrumental in the birth of MBU’s Master of Business Administration program, which began in 2004, and its continued successes. Specifically, Bradford has worked to develop an innovative MBA program that focuses on challenging students with its rigorous academics and practical applications, coupled with unique components of ethical management and leadership.

Bradford’s vast experience in the business industry prior to entering the world of academia has also proven to greatly enhance her skills as an educator. Bradford has worked as the director of marketing at The Jobs Partnership, district director of the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and the marketing/communicative executive for United Way of Greater St. Louis.
