MBU Campus Visit Day again draws crowd

More than 80 prospective students attended Missouri Baptist University’s Fall Campus Visit Day Oct. 8.

Students who attended the event took part in, among other things, performances by MBU’s premiere performance and ministry groups, toured the University’s West Saint Louis County campus and received information at the event’s Street Fair.
“I am increasingly encouraged by the qualities exhibited in students who consider Missouri Baptist University their university of choice,” said Terry Dale Cruse, MBU director of admissions. “It is evident that MBU’s reputation for excellence in Christian education continues to spread throughout the Midwest and beyond.”
More than 60 percent of those participating in this fall’s Campus Visit Day applied for admission at the event, Cruse noted.
Two $1,000 scholarships were given at random to prospective students who applied for admission during the event. The students who received the scholarship are as follows:
• Lauren Schoolfield, a senior at Northwest High School in Cedar Hill, Mo.
• Lisa Hoover, a senior at Westminster Christian Academy in West Saint Louis County
In addition to those scholarships, application fees were waived for prospective students who applied for admission to MBU during the event.
MBU’s Spring Campus Visit Day is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 from 9 a.m. to noon. That day will include a host of music auditions for prospective students, musical performances and an information fair.
