RE: Dimas Salaberrios leads MBU’s Fall Lecture Series
Dimas Salaberrios leads MBU’s Fall Lecture Series
October 8, 2007
Through a moving personal testimony and a thirst to win people for Christ, Dimas Salaberrios, pastor of Infinity Church in The Bronx, N.Y., urged Missouri Baptist University’s student body to seek true restoration Oct. 2-4 during the University’s annual Fall Lecture Series.

Dimas Salaberrios speaks at MBU's Fall Lecture Series, which was held Oct. 2-4.
The Fall Lecture Series is a three-day event held inside the Pillsbury Chapel and Dale Williams Fine Arts Center aimed at spurring spiritual growth and awakening in the lives of MBU students.
“When you take steps to be bold in Christ, that’s when you start to live the life God has always had planned for you,” Salaberrios said during the last day of the series. “I am living proof. God has taken me from a hustler to a pastor.”
Salaberrios became a Christ follower in his twenties after living a troubled life that was largely consumed with dealing drugs and evading the law. Since, he’s worked on the same streets where he once sold drugs in an effort to share Christ’s unwavering compassion.
Infinity, the church Salaberrios pastors, seeks to engage young people primarily in a ten-block neighborhood of The Bronx, an area of New York City that is known for its high level of gang involvement. His church uses unconventional, albeit relatable, methods to help share Christ, including drama, hip-hop, R&B music and a direct speaking style.
