Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation Awards $15,000 Scholarship grant to The Missouri Colleges Fund
June 5, 2007
Citing a desire to invest in education in the State of Missouri, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation recently provided a grant of $15,000 to the Missouri Colleges Fund (MCF).
The grant will underwrite scholarships at the 15 MCF member schools, including Missouri Baptist University. These scholarships will be awarded by the member schools on the basis of financial need to students pursuing teaching careers.
“Missouri Baptist University is very grateful to the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation and the Missouri Colleges Fund for this gift,” said Dr. Alton Lacey, MBU president. “This contribution recognizes the importance of education and the significant impact that an educated workforce has on Missouri’s economy.”
The MCF was formed in 1952 as a non-profit corporation. The MCF Mission is to acquire resources to help educate students in its 15 member private liberal-arts colleges and universities.
In addition to MBU, the Missouri Colleges Fund member schools include Avila University, Kansas City; Central Methodist University, Fayette; Columbia College, Columbia; Culver-Stockton College, Canton; Drury University, Springfield; Evangel University, Springfield; Fontbonne University, St. Louis; Hannibal – LaGrange College, Hannibal; Maryville University, St. Louis; Missouri Baptist University, St. Louis; Park University, Parkville; Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar; Westminster College, Fulton; William Jewell College, Liberty; and William Woods University, Fulton.
