MBU student garners top ranking from Missouri Society of CPAs

Judges of the Missouri Society of CPAs collegiate scholarship competition have deemed Missouri Baptist University student Norman Wohlschlaeger the highest-rated candidate of this year’s applicant pool.

Wohlschlaeger, a junior accounting and psychology major at MBU, holds a 4.0 GPA and is a member of both the MBU Accounting Club and the Missouri Society of CPAs.
The number one ranking has secured Wohlschlaeger the Second Annual Don Breimeier Memorial Scholarship. In addition, Wohlschlaeger has for the third consecutive year received the LEAP (Learn and Enhance the Accounting Profession) Scholarship. LEAP is the high school and collegiate arm of the Missouri Society of CPAs.
As the judge’s highest-rated 2006-2007 applicant, Wolhschlaeger will receive a $1,000 award in addition to the $1,000 he was awarded as part of the LEAP Scholarship contest.
The Missouri Society of CPAs is the premier professional development organization dedicated to certified public accountants in the state of Missouri. The organization represents nearly 10,000 CPA members in public practice, industry, government and education. Established in 1909, the MSCPA provides members with continuing education, governmental advocacy and networking opportunities, while working to further the CPA profession through student-focused initiatives.
