I'll Be Home for Christmas

Since late August, they have been consumed with all things MBU. But with Christmas break on the horizon, MBU students are preparing to spend this holiday season in varying fashions—from feeding the homeless to eating duck.

	Who: Zach Hartley, sophomore Where: Saint Louis What: “I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled and on Christmas day my family is volunteering at a soup kitchen.”
	Who: Richard Onyat, Where: Uganda What: “I am getting together with some old friends.”
	Who: Benjamin Chapman, sophomore Where: Denver, Colorado What: “I haven’t been home since August so I am going to chill with my friends and family and eat my mom’s food like its going out of style.”
	Who: Scott Mitchell, junior Where: Marion, Ill. What “We’re having Christmas at Grandpa’s. It’s a tradition.”
	Who: Kacey Trimm, sophomore Where: Moro, Ill. Favorite food: “Grandma’s stuffing.”
	Who: John Chambers, junior Where: St. Louis What: “I am hosting a candlelight dinner for a very special girl.”
	Who: Jeff Kaufman, freshman Where: Defiance, Mo. Favorite Tradition: “We don’t really have traditions. My family’s spontaneous. In the past, my dad’s taken us to Florida and California for Christmas.”
	Who: Jacob Hammack, freshman Where: Overland Park, Kansas Favorite tradition: “On Christmas Eve, my mom makes all of our favorite appetizers.”
	Who: Pat Anderson, junior Where: O’Fallon, Ill. What: “I am running in the Snowball Series.”
	Who: Stuart McClure, junior Where:  New Orleans What: “I am hoping to take a trip to New Orleans to help with disaster relief.”
	Who: Brandon Gum, freshman Where: Saint Louis What: “I am hosting some students from Jamaica at my house.”
	Who: Jessica Richardson Where: Independence, Mo. and Atlanta, Ga. What: “I am going home to spend Christmas with my family and then I am going to the Passion 2007 Conference.”
	Who: Nick Windsor, sophomore Where: Florissant, Mo. Favorite tradition:  “My family eats duck for Christmas morning. It’s really good.”
	Who: Lauren Cornwell, sophomore Where: Troy, Mo. Favorite Tradition: “On Christmas morning we open up our stockings before eating my mom’s Monkey Bread.”
	Who: Davey McVicker, freshman Where: The Ozarks What: “I can’t wait to go home to watch my little brother play basketball.”
	Who: Jordan Ward, freshman Where: St. Charles, Mo. What: “I am just going to spend a lot of time hanging out with my family.”
	Who: Tarah Snow, junior Where: St. Louis, Mo. What: “I plan on eating lots of food, spending time with family and watching lots of movies.”
