MBU Again Breaks Enrollment Records
October 31, 2006
Missouri Baptist University’s total enrollment for the 2006-2007 academic year has again soared to an all-time high.
Marking the sixth consecutive year of record-breaking growth, 4,511 students enrolled in MBU’s undergraduate and graduate programs, according to the Official Fall 2006 Enrollment Report. MBU’s full-time equivalency rate was also at an all-time high.
2005-2006 MBU Enrollment
• Undergraduate Enrollment: 3,496
• Graduate Enrollment: 1,065
• Full-time Equivalency: 2,477
In addition to record breaking enrollment, MBU’s first-time freshman scored an average ACT score of 22, which exceeds both state and national averages. The jump signifies the highest average of any entering MBU class in recent years.
“It’s exciting to see that MBU’s tradition of academic excellence and Christian emphasis is continuing to attract an increasing number of quality students every year” said Terry Dale Cruse, MBU director of admissions. “The increase in both total headcount and the full-time equivalency rate further proves that students are seeking out the distinct culture that makes up MBU.”
This year also marks a milestone for MBU’s EXCEL program, which eclipsed 2,000 students for the first time in its 23-year-old history. The EXCEL program is a dual-enrollment program for high school juniors and seniors.
