Bunch Concludes Lengthy Service to MBU
September 5, 2006
Dr. Randall Bunch, a longtime servant of Missouri Baptist life, has concluded more than a decade of service as a member of Missouri Baptist University’s Board of Trustees.
Bunch, who is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Eldon, Mo., began his relationship with MBU in 1995 as a trustee and served two years as MBU’s Board Chairperson. Also during his tenure on the board, Dr. Bunch was appointed to the nominating and student committees.
“We offer our deepest gratitude for Dr. Bunch’s service to MBU,” said Dr. Alton Lacey, president of MBU. “His contributions have greatly influenced the vast successes that the University has seen over the last decade.”
Bunch began service with Missouri Baptist entities over a quarter of a century ago when he was elected to the Board of Managers for the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. While in that position, Bunch served two four-year terms, including a stint as a vice-chair of the board in program management. Bunch also served on the Missouri Baptist Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
Bunch holds a B.A. in English and Religion from Southwest Baptist University, and both a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He has been a pastor at churches in Missouri and North Dakota throughout the last 30 years.
