RE: MBU Names Campus Minister
MBU Names Campus Minister
July 10, 2006
Passionate and determined to reach a post-modern generation, Jonathan White has been appointed campus minister at Missouri Baptist University.

Jonathan White
“College years are the time in students’ lives when they really begin to search to find out their purpose in life,” White said. “The Lord has given me a passion and a great burden to see an impact made upon this post-modern generation for Jesus Christ here and internationally. I desire to be used as a vessel, a tool and a servant to make this kind of impact.”
As campus minister at MBU, White will be charged with molding students’ spiritual formation, overseeing Student Ministries Counsel, and finding opportunities for students in local and foreign ministries and missions.
Most recently, White served as the college pastor of The Church at Crosspoint in Murfreesboro, Tenn. While there, White founded the Bonhoeffer’s Coffee Shop, a full coffee bar ministry located adjacent to Middle State Tennessee University—the largest university in Tennessee. In addition, White led students on mission trips to a myriad of foreign countries, including: Thailand, Africa, Canada and Mexico.
White graduated this past spring from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky. with a Master of Arts in Christian Education, emphasizing in collegiate ministry. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Communications from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.
White has been married to his wife, Melissa, for 10 years. They have two children: Leah and Austin.
