Frillman Gift to help MBU for Years to Come

Missouri Baptist University has received a $700,000 gift from the Dallas F. Frillman Trust to help aid its pursuit of faith and learning.
“The generosity of Mr. Frillman’s life has become a legacy that will benefit higher Christian education for years to come,” said Keith Ross, MBU vice president for institutional advancement. “MBU is deeply grateful to Mr. Frillman for his longstanding friendship. This gift is going to allow more students to experience an elevated Christian education for years to come.”
Frillman, a recipient of the Purple Heart during World War II, died Nov. 21, 2004.
The funds from the gift will be designated to the following areas:
• A scholarship fund in the name of “Rosalie Frillman Memorial Scholarship Fund” will be established for MBU students to study abroad. A gift of $250,000 has been designated for the fund.
• Funds in the amount of $75,000 have been designated for the Dallas Frillman Guest Lecturer Fund.
• An amount of $330,000 has been designated for the construction of the classroom/conference room in MBU’s new Sports and Recreation Complex. The room shall be named in honor of Dallas and Rosalie Frillman.
• Funds in the amount of $75,000 have been designated for MBU’s Bosendorfer Imperial Grand Piano, which MBU acquired in 2003.
