Students Honored for Outstanding Achievement

Missouri Baptist University students were recognized April 4, 2006 as this year's Outstanding Student Award Recipients. Students are chosen by faculty for demonstrating excellence in their field of study.
MBU Senior Jessica Arnold recently received the 2006 Campus Service Award. Jessica was one of more than forty MBU students who were recipients at this year's MBU Outstanding Students of Achievement Banquet.
Jessica Arnold received MBU's Campus Service Award.
In the Business Division, Erin Lewis was recognized for Business Administration and William Hale for Computer Information Systems. The Management award went to Darrius Hudson and Marketing went to Holly Tichy. Hudson also received an award for involvement in 2005-2006 SIFE, Students in Free Enterprise. Charlott Richards received the Jefferson Extension Business award and Bruce Hubbard received the Troy/Wentzville Extension Business award.
The Education Division gave the Student Leadership award to Steven Giacomelli and an Elementary Education award to Keri Vineyard. The Middle School Education award went to Joanne Stockstrom and the Secondary Education award to Alexander Nelle. Valeria Corry received the Troy/Wentzville Education award, Tamara Skaggs received the Jefferson Education award, and Julia Mahurin received the Franklin County Education award.
In the Fine Arts Division, the Technical Communication award went to Gloria Long and Roger Neeb. Jessica Arnold and Heather Dietiker were recognized for Public Communications. The Music-vocal award went to Steven Giacomelli and the Music-instrumental award went to Jose Silva. Sarah Dickey and Leann Thompson received the Theatre award.
MBU Senior Jessica Bledsoe received the MBU Student for Outstanding Acheivement-English award at the annual banquet.
In the Humanities Division, Anthony Mueller received the Ministerial Alliance award and Marie Tudor received the Biblical Languages award. The Ministry and Leadership award went to Bonnie Mills and the Alpha Chi award went to Sarah Schoenlaub. Jessica Bledsoe was recognized for English and Theresa Creel received the Sigma Tau Delta award. Mary Kate Shields was honored for her contribution to the Collegian newspaper. The Cantos award went to Holly Wickliffe. Megan Dunbar received the Religion award and Jessica Haider received the Religious Education award.
The Health and Sport Sciences Division honored Jennifer Lee with the Sports Medicine Academic award. Emmalee Steiger was recognized for Sports Management and Joshua Lydon for Kinesiology. The Health Science award went to Richard Todd.
The Natural Sciences Division honored Shannon Sekarski with the Biology award and Sarah Schoenlaub with the Unified Science award. Jennifer Pointer received the Mathematics award.
In the Social and Behavioral Sciences Division, Kristina Steen received the Psychology award and Sandra Zimmermann received the Behavioral Sciences award. The Human Services award went to Rachel Hovis and the Administration of Justice award went to Sarah Case.
